Stop By on Your Lunch Break: Free InSight Tour on May 18, 12:30pm, to Celebrate Art Museum Day 2016

Celebrate Art Museum Day 2016 with an InSight Tour of Joan Snyder’s 1997 painting …and acquainted with grief. Meet the Zimmerli’s new Curator of Education and Interpretation Amanda Potter, who leads the discussion, in the lobby at 12:30pm (lasts 30 minutes).

A Rutgers alumna, nationally noted painter, and 2007 MacArthur Fellow, Joan Snyder has developed a powerful body of work that explores aspects of nature, humanity, and identity. A pioneering feminist artist who was championed early in her career, Snyder has infused her works with physical energy and vibrant color to express deeply personal experiences.

12:30 to 1pm. Free and open to the public.
