Need a Break from the Holiday Rush?

Families are invited to get creative at Art Together! The next session of this free, drop-in program takes place on December 3.

Join us at Art After Hours: First Tuesdays on December 5 and check off "Night Out" from your Wish List! The evening features a curator-led tour of Serigraphy: The Rise of Screenprinting in America, a screenprinting demonstration by the master printer from Rutgers' Brodsky Center, and a special topic tour entitled “Museums are Not Neutral.” In addition, The Rutgers Jazz Trombones ensemble returns to the museum to perform classics from the holidays and beyond.

Music at the Museum presents “Imagine that! Musical Depictions of Carnival Scenes, Fairy Tales, and Composers’ Favorite Pets” on December 10 at the Zimmerli. Selections for flute and guitar are performed by faculty from the Mason Gross School of the Arts Extension Division. Following the concert, tour the exhibition Cats vs. Dogs: Illustrations for Children’s Literature.

Study All Night for Rutgers students returns during Reading Days! The Zimmerli remains open overnight, beginning December 14 at 10am through December 15 at 4:30pm, inviting students to study for exams and prepare final papers among their favorite works of art. A valid RU ID is required between 5 pm and 9 am. Admission and activities are provided free of charge.
