Wednesday Schedule

March 5:  Interpret art two ways--through discussion and dance--in the Norton and Nancy Dodge Collection of Nonconformist Art from the Soviet Union. Half-hour tours of the Dodge Collection begin at 6 and 7pm, followed by Meagan Woods & Company performing at 6:30 and 7:30pm.

Meagan Woods & Company has presented a wide range of original, high-caliber modern dance pieces in venues across the Northeast. In 2009, the group originated the performance concept Dance Within the Art at the Zimmerli.

Artistic Director Meagan Woods graduated with a BFA in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she was honored with the Margery J. Turner Award for choreography. Since graduating, she has served as a choreographer, designer, and guest lecturer at Rutgers. In 2010, Meagan collaborated with Insurgo Stage Project and Art House to co-produce Your Move, Jersey City's annual modern dance festival. Now in its third season, the program has presented innovative work to growing audiences and continues to expand the scope of dance in Jersey City's artistic community. At Art House, Meagan also choreographs for the STAGES! musical theater program, entering its fourth production. While her work is often presented on a stage, Meagan particularly enjoys creating work for untraditional spaces, including roof tops, churches, galleries, plazas, and bus stops.

Sunday Schedule

March 9: Explore the countryside of 19th- and 20th-century America through art with docent Gustav Friedrich.
