Calling All Teachers and Music Lovers!

The Teacher Workshop Mathematics of Sculpture returns on Friday, October 17. It focuses on the shared vocabulary of the two disciplines, as well as the relationship between the Core Curriculum Standards for Mathematical Practice and the elements and principles of design. Hands-on activities incorporate a variety of materials and techniques that can be adapted to the individual classroom. The fee is $50 per participant, which includes continental breakfast, lunch, and supplies. 9am to 3pm. For more information or to register, click here.

 

Join us for Music at the Museum on Sunday, October 19, at 2pm. The Zimmerli hosts this new weekend concert series organized by the Mason Gross Extension Division. The first concert features Mason Gross faculty members Allison Brewster Franzetti (piano), Mira Kang (cello), and Brennan Sweet (violin) performing selections by Beethoven, Dvoƙák, Haydn, and Shostakovich. Free admission.
