Search the Schimmel Rare Book Library
The Herbert D. and Ruth Schimmel Rare Book Library contains nearly 4000 illustrated books and journals and serves as a unique primary resource for evaluating French art and society at the turn of the last century.
The Schimmel Library collections are accessible through an online database. A list of periodicals and journals is also available. Please use the search form below to find collection records.
To schedule an appointment, call (732) 932-7237 ext. 617. Please have selections ready, listed by accession number, so that materials may be pulled prior to scheduled appointments.
The Library is located within the Morse Research Center on the Zimmerli Art Museum's lower level.
